Sealing
We can extend the life of an existing roadway by sealing the surface using a slurry or chip seal method. To chip seal, a layer of asphalt emulsion is applied to the existing pavement and covered with a layer of finely crushed rocks called chips. The chips are rolled to embed them into the asphalt, creating a protective and skid-resistant surface that fills small cracks, improves traction, and delays the need for more costly repairs like resurfacing or full reconstruction.
